Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Academic Leader to join our esteemed faculty. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing academic programs in film production, directing, screenwriting, and related fields.

  • Develop strategic initiatives to enhance the curriculum, ensuring it meets industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Lead program reviews, assessments, and accreditations to maintain excellence.
Faculty and Staff Management

You will oversee the mentorship, evaluation, and professional development of faculty and staff, promoting a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.

  • Mentor faculty members to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality instruction.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback to drive growth and improvement.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and research among faculty and staff.
Student Development

You will be responsible for overseeing student recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts, as well as supporting student success through mentorship and career counseling.

  • Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent, ensuring a diverse and talented student body.
  • Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, providing guidance on career paths and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote student participation in film festivals, competitions, and industry events to foster connections and networking opportunities.
Industry and Community Engagement

You will build partnerships with industry leaders, production houses, and film organizations, organizing guest lectures, workshops, and networking events to advance our academic mission.

  • Establish relationships with industry professionals to provide students with real-world learning experiences.
  • Cultivate collaborations that advance our academic programs and enhance student outcomes.
  • Represent the department in media and public forums to promote our reputation and achievements.
Budget and Resource Management

You will manage the department's resources, ensuring optimal use of budget and personnel to achieve our academic goals.

  • Oversee the allocation of budget and resources to support academic initiatives and programs.
  • Ensure effective management of film studio operations, equipment procurement, and technology upgrades.
Strategic Planning and Vision

You will develop long-term goals and strategies for department growth, staying updated on global cinema trends and emerging technologies.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and advancements, incorporating best practices into our academic programs.
Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

In addition to your educational background, you should have proven experience in academic administration or operations, excellent organizational and time-management skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with academic management software.

You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, possessing attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
