AI Infrastructure Lead

We are developing cutting-edge solutions that revolutionise operational pipelines for the waste industry, unlocking efficiencies and fostering sustainability at scale. Our team is passionate, driven, and on a mission to make a meaningful difference – and we need a talented Senior AI Platform Engineer to join us.
This role will play a leading part in shaping our technical infrastructure and product success as an early senior engineering hire. You will enjoy attractive salary and stock options, work closely with experienced founders in a dynamic startup environment, build and scale cutting-edge AI systems with direct impact on sustainability, and have significant autonomy and ownership in a core area of the business.
You will design, build, and maintain robust pipelines for processing image and video data, running ML model inferences, and serving results efficiently.
You will architect, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure for data storage, model deployment (CI/CD), and inference serving on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
You will work closely with frontend and product teams to design and implement backend services and APIs that power responsive, data-driven UI experiences.
- You will manage databases, implement background task processing and access control.
- You will implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; manage secrets securely; ensure system scalability and stability through automated deployments and rollbacks.
