Job Title: Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily accounting entries, including journal vouchers, payment/receipt entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards and company policies.
  • Reconcile client ledgers, broker accounts, bank statements, and depository records.
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
  • Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances relevant to the broking industry.
  • Support in audits (statutory, internal, and regulatory audits).
  • Coordinate with operations and compliance teams for accounting-related queries.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for reporting and audit purposes.

Requirements:

  • CA intern / CA / Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a stock broking / financial services company).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
