About the Role:

Gartner is seeking a well-rounded and motivated application developer to create and maintain applications for a range of iOS and Android devices, including mobile phones and tablet computers.

This position will be part of Gartner's Engagement Center of Excellence, which is responsible for all client-facing applications across web and mobile channels, as the primary means of delivering insights to our clients on their mission-critical priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of a world-class client experience by understanding Gartner's domain, business model, and collaborating with business stakeholders to achieve objectives and goals.
  • Design and build cross-platform or native applications for the Android platform.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver new features and sustenance activities.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality and automation.
  • Work proactively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of high-quality and innovative mobile features.

Requirements:

  • A strong IT professional with 4-6 years of experience in mobile application development, including combined experience in developing cross-platform and native Android apps.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills, along with high ownership and accountability.
  • Experience in designing and building applications for the Android platform using cross-platform technologies like React Native.
  • Ability to package and deploy code to both iOS and Android devices using cross-platform technology.
  • Fast learner with proven critical thinking skills, able to assess complex issues and mitigate risk.
  • Extensive experience in Android, Java, Kotlin, Storage, OOPS, Design principles, MVP/MVVM, Unit Testing.
  • Knowledge of high-quality professional software engineering practices for agile software development cycles.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and prioritization skills.
