Medical Device Service Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Service Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the medical device turnaround process at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough disinfection and cleaning of medical devices according to established procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections of devices for functional issues after patient use.
  • Replace components and consumable parts as needed to ensure optimal device performance.
  • Maintain accurate calibration logs and conduct quality control checks to guarantee device reliability.
Troubleshooting & Basic Repairs
  • Diagnose electronic issues with control units and perform minor repairs to restore device functionality.
  • Collaborate with our research and development team for advanced repairs or escalations.
  • Perform software and firmware updates as required to ensure devices remain up-to-date.
Device Deployment Support
  • Responsible for device pickups and installations at hospitals/home-care centers as needed.
  • Deploy new and rental devices according to client requirements.
  • Provide basic usage training to nursing staff or caregivers when deploying devices.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive service logs, track device usage hours, complaints, and interventions.
  • Prepare regular reports for our operations and product teams.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in servicing medical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, suction machines, ventilators, patient monitors).
  • Hands-on skills in basic electronics troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with hospital infection control practices is advantageous.

  • Technical aptitude in electronic devices and medical equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective hospital coordination.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed service documentation.
  • Willingness to travel locally for device pickups/deployments when necessary.
