Guidewire QA Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Guidewire QA engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and integrity of our Guidewire applications.

The successful candidate will have strong functional knowledge and experience with at least one Guidewire core application (e.g., PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter). You will also possess specific experience in testing Guidewire User Interface (GT UI) functionalities and understanding of Guidewire UI principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Analysis: Analyze business and technical requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies and test cases.
  • Test Case Design & Execution: Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases for Guidewire modules.
  • Functional & Regression Testing: Perform thorough functional, integration, and regression testing for Guidewire applications.
  • UI/UX Validation: Validate the Guidewire user interface across different browsers and devices.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using standard defect management tools.
  • Data Validation: Perform backend data validation using SQL queries to ensure data consistency and accuracy between the UI and the underlying Guidewire database.
  • Troubleshooting: Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues found during testing within the Guidewire environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Guidewire Expertise: Strong functional knowledge and experience with at least one Guidewire core application.
  • GT UI Focus: Specific experience in testing Guidewire User Interface (GT UI) functionalities and understanding of Guidewire UI principles.
  • QA Methodologies: Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
  • SQL Skills: Proficiency in SQL for backend data validation and verification.
  • Test Management Tools: Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Automation Knowledge: Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks used for web application testing.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify subtle UI and functional defects.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate issues clearly and concisely.
