Procurement Manager for Rubber and Polymer

This role involves managing regional procurement activities for Direct Materials - Rubber & Chemicals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing sourcing activities of polymers & rubbers
  • Localizing and alternate sourcing for cost reduction projects
  • Identifying local suppliers for NPD requirements for new rubber compounds
  • Managing material shortage situations through allocations and alternate solutions
  • Periodic pricing discussions and finalizations with suppliers based on market fluctuations

Additionally, this role requires:

  • Maintaining a target supplier panel with adequate capacity
  • Developing NPD components with panel suppliers within given lead times
  • Performing internal costing for NPD components and negotiating with suppliers
  • Identifying and executing annual cost reduction projects
  • Periodic pricing discussions and finalizations with suppliers based on market fluctuations

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Costing knowledge on raw rubber/chemical/steel
  • Market intelligence of polymers and chemicals
  • Negotiation skills
  • MS Office and SAP proficiency

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experience in purchasing with the above-mentioned products and processes
