Job Role: DFT Engineer

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Work with ASIC teams to ensure DFT design rules and coverages are implemented effectively.
  • Develop high-quality manufacturing test patterns for stuck-at (SAF), transition fault (TDF) models through the use of on-chip test compression techniques.
  • MBIST verification, test pattern generation through Mentor tool.
  • ATPG (SAF, TDF) and MBIST verification using unit delay and min/max timing corner simulations.
  • Collaborate with Product/Test engineering teams on the delivery of manufacturing test patterns for ATE.
  • Support post-silicon debug effort, issue resolution.
  • Develop Diagnostic Tools for ATPG, MBIST and bring-up on ATE.
  • Enhance and maintain scripts as necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering required.
  • Minimum 4-12 years' experience in ASIC/DFT - simulation and Silicon validation required.
  • Experience working in at least one Full chip DFT required.
  • Detailed knowledge of DFT concepts, pattern simulation, Silicon debug and yield enhancement required.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in ATPG - coverage analysis required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Memory verification, repair and failure root-cause analysis required.
  • Experience with tools like TestKompress, ETVerify, VCS or ModelSim required.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Perl, shell is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with good communication skills required.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new tools, methodologies required.
  • Ability to multitask and work on several designs in parallel required.
