Key Responsibilities


Attend preventive, shutdown, and breakdown maintenance of machines and utility equipment.


Shift-wise handover and takeover of the charge.


Maintain the log book and deploy manpower for pending work.


Decide the priority of work to be done within the shift and inform the next shift in-charge if work is not completed.


Take preventive/corrective action with consultation of respective section in-charge for repetitive breakdown/major breakdown.


Analyze and solve problems in machine and utility equipment.


Maintain all records related to QMS requirements like history card, preventive checklists, and calibration certificate, etc.


Check and monitor compressor operation.


Perform maintenance of machine and RO plant as per instructions given by section in-charge.


Backwash reactor tank, UF system regularly by the technician.


Use suitable PPE for good safety practice by himself and ensure for subordinates.


Prepare critical spares to reduce maintenance response time.


Ensure proper safety methods are used while doing maintenance activities.


Check and monitor ETP/STP operations.


Participate in house and external training whenever applicable.


The work performance of tradersmen assigned to various supervisory personnel under the direction of the shift engineer is reviewed by the HOD.


All preventive maintenance shall be completed on a daily shift basis and daily PM sheets signed off by the subordinates.


Ensure the calibration of utility equipment at regular intervals.


Inspect all machining parts and purchase items whenever required.


Responsible to maintain safety and housekeeping in the working area.
