Electrical Engineer Position

We are seeking an electrical engineer with experience in control systems, drive selection, and safety compliance for semiconductor capital equipment.

  • This role requires a senior-level electrical engineer to design motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in industrial I/O systems, including B&R PLCs.
  • They will contribute to risk assessments per SEMI S14, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL standards.
  • Key responsibilities include designing AC/DC power distribution systems compliant with NFPA 79, SEMI S22, and relevant UL standards.
  • Candidates should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture technical requirements and integrate load/motion for new and existing projects.
  • They will take ownership of assigned projects and lead teams when required.
  • Maintaining electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical is also essential.
  • Managing product data in PLM systems and providing hands-on troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems are also important skills.
  • Candidates should also be able to support FAT execution, customer acceptance, and TUV or third-party safety audits.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices is also a requirement.

To be successful, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
  • Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for drives, control circuits, and industrial I/O.
  • A strong understanding of SEMI Standards, NFPA, and UL compliance requirements.
