Genpact, a global professional services and solutions firm, is seeking an experienced Sr. Principal Consultant - Power BI Developer to join our team.

As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with customers to understand their requirements and develop innovative solutions using Power BI.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Closely collaborate with clients to identify their needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Lead a team of developers and guide them to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Assist the team in addressing issues related to Paginated Reports and Power BI.
  • Design comprehensive end-to-end solution architectures and provide guidance to development teams on complex requirements.
  • Participate actively in knowledge augmentation initiatives to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Maintain active communication with clients to mitigate any product feature deficiencies or objections.
  • Ensure project and object-level security aligns with project requirements in consultation with senior administrators, architects, and project teams.
  • Implement change management processes to migrate Power BI projects and objects between QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Collaborate with report domain architects to suggest configuration and process changes that enhance reliability, scalability, and supportability.
  • Maintain scripts and documentation related to the Product suite.
  • Maintain data recovery and backup procedures.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • A solid understanding of Business Intelligence and cloud computing principles.
  • Substantial experience in Power BI development, enhancement, and migration.
  • An experienced Power BI developer with expertise in Azure environments.
  • Experience in implementing Power BI reports that read data from diverse sources, including on-premise data servers, cloud services, and various file formats.
  • Proficiency in creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations in Power BI.
  • Competence with Power BI Desktop, Gateway, Service, and Report Server.
  • Good experience in Paginated Reports using Report Builder.
  • Experience in migrating Tabular reports to Power BI Paginated Reports.
  • A good understanding of Power Query M and hands-on experience in building sophisticated DAX queries.
  • Experience in implementing static and dynamic Row Level Security, as well as extensive experience with Dataset design, Data Cleansing, and Data Aggregation.
  • A solid grasp of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Solid SQL reporting skills, with the ability to create SQL views and write SQL queries to build custom datasets for reporting or analysis.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $120,000-$180,000 based on industry standards and location.
