Job Overview

The Finance Lead is a key role that oversees the financial health of an organization. This position requires proven work experience in managing accounting activities, including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.

Key responsibilities include administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and monitoring departmental work to develop efficient procedures and use of resources.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and reporting of all financial information.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support corporate budgeting and forecasting activities, including developing and implementing financial plans.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train team members on financial procedures and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in finance and accounting, preferably with a commerce degree or certified public accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
