Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Specialist to develop an enterprise risk management framework for assessing, identifying, monitoring, and reducing pertinent business, credit, and regulatory risks that could impact our objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business problems into clear analytic problem statements using business intelligence/analysis and predictive frameworks.
  • Compute Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Exposure at Default (EAD) estimates as part of ECL/IFRS9 and Ind-As requirements.
  • Compute capital requirements using the Internal Ratings Based (IRB) approach and integrate findings into capital planning and pricing.
  • Undertake stress testing and scenario analysis in compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
  • Perform model validation exercises on various credit application and behavioural scorecards, Early Warning Systems (EWS) models, pricing models, Economic Capital (ECL) models, and Value at Risk (VaR) models. Analyze and identify inherent model risks and recommend corrective measures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the management of system-generated Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), including Early Warning Triggers, with various specialized risk sub-units.
  • Monitor and highlight instances of Concentration Risk through data generation and reporting.
  • Design and monitor Risk and Control Matrices defined by policies. Coordinate with other risk units to integrate findings from control testing frameworks.
  • Prepare periodic reports on compliance with KRIs, risk appetite statements, and risk thresholds for submission to the Board of Directors, Risk Management Committee, and regulators.
Customer-Facing Responsibilities
  • Work with IT and operations teams to implement new frameworks agreed upon by business and credit departments.
  • Implement risk-related policies and guidelines across bank branches with consultation from business and credit departments.
  • Collaborate with model development teams and provide insights from validation and monitoring perspectives.
Internal Process Responsibilities
  • Regularly monitor the risk outlook and its impact on portfolio quality.
  • Provide inputs to enhance integrated risk reporting and monitoring frameworks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Enterprise Risk reports. Interpret information and suggest actions for consideration by Senior Management.
Innovation and Learning
  • Maintain current knowledge of laws and regulations, macro-economic risks, and recent developments in regulations, notifications, and circulars. Disseminate information regarding new regulatory developments.
  • Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) and build innovative frameworks to manage various risks.
