Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and administering AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.

You will also develop and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, utilizing backup software such as Veeam, AWS Snapshots, Commvault, and Backup Exec. Additionally, you will oversee automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises resources.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Administrator, you will analyze system performance, identify trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency. You will utilize monitoring platforms like Datadog, Orion, Nagios, and WhatsUp Gold to monitor and troubleshoot issues.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will provide technical guidance and support to junior support tiers and act as an escalation resource for all technologies under the Platform Engineering umbrella.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience administering Okta.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Proven hands-on experience supporting the Okta SSO Platform.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
