Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned data engineer to join our team and develop innovative data solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a creative mind, and excellent communication skills.

  • Developing modern data warehouse solutions using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory.
  • Providing forward-thinking data engineering and analytics solutions.
  • Collaborating with DW/BI leads to understand new ETL pipeline development requirements.
  • Triage issues to find gaps in existing pipelines and fix the issues.
  • Working with business to understand reporting needs and develop a data model to fulfill them.
  • Helping team members resolve technical challenges.
  • Driving technical discussions with client architects and team members.
  • Orchestrating data pipelines in the scheduler via Airflow.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Total 6+ years of IT experience and 3+ years of experience in Data warehouse/ETL projects.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Snowflake security, SQL, and designing/implementing objects.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, and connectors.
  • Deep understanding of Star and Snowflake dimensional modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Management principles.
  • Good understanding of Databricks Data & AI platform and Delta Lake Architecture.
  • Experience with SQL, Spark (PySpark), and building ETL/data warehouse transformation processes.
  • Experience with non-relational / NoSQL data repositories (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J).
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data including imaging & geospatial data.
  • Experience working in Dev/Ops environments with tools like Terraform, CircleCI, GIT.
  • Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and Query Optimization.
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional Certification (Desirable).
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in Agile methodology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
