Job Title: Datacenter - Principal Engineer

Overview

This position is responsible for leading the design and architecture of datacenter infrastructure systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs and performance objectives.

As a key member of our team, you will oversee the deployment and management of hardware and software in datacenter environments, optimizing for efficiency and scalability.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement large-scale datacenter projects that meet organizational needs and performance objectives.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of hardware and software in datacenter environments, ensuring optimal efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for datacenter operations, including capacity planning, disaster recovery, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in datacenter engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale datacenter projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
