Job Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to senior stakeholders.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing financial accounting systems, producing monthly expense and revenue reports, and supporting the annual budget and forecast exercises. You will also be required to calculate intercompany charges, ensure transactional accuracy, and respond to audit queries.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the completion of monthly deliverables. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential in this regard, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting and Reporting:

  • Manage financial accounting systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
  • Produce monthly expense and revenue reports, including cost of risk charged to investment-banking activities and revenue at the client, business, and contract levels.
  • Support the annual budget and forecast exercises, ensuring that all relevant data is accurately captured and reported.
  • Calculate intercompany charges and ensure transactional accuracy.
  • Respond to audit queries and provide support to internal and external auditors.
Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a global financial services company, preferably in a management accounting or reporting role.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, with intermediate-level proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Familiarity with Smartview/Essbase and MS Access desirable.
  • Prior accounting and management reporting experience highly desirable.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of BI solutions such as Tableau, Alteryx, or Power BI.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.

Education and Certifications:

  • CA/MBA Fin/Equivalent qualification or higher.
Other Requirements

Additional Information:

  • Experience in process improvements in production, control procedures, and workflow organization to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participation in system upgrades and version releases, as well as system amendments and enhancements required to facilitate new or modified reporting requirements.
