Job Title: Reporting Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Reporting Lead to spearhead the design and delivery of comprehensive reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Power BI data modeling, Premium Capacities, and building complex reports, including interactive dashboards and Paginated reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of Power BI reports, including complex data models, Paginated reports, and interactive dashboards.
  • Develop advanced Power BI data models that ensure high performance and scalability, particularly in Premium Capacities, adhering to performance SLAs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate these into insightful and actionable Power BI reports.
  • Apply automation techniques within Power BI to streamline report generation and automate data refresh processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Power BI developers, providing technical guidance, best practices, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data used in reporting through rigorous data validation and governance practices.
  • Continuously monitor Power BI report performance, proactively troubleshooting and optimizing for speed, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce best practices around Power BI data modeling, DAX expressions, Power Query, and report design.
  • Ensure detailed documentation of all Power BI solutions, processes, data models, DAX formulas, and reporting standards.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on expertise with Power BI, including experience with Premium Capacities and advanced Power BI modeling.
  • Proven track record in developing complex DAX expressions, creating Power BI Paginated Reports, and optimizing Power BI solutions for performance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of developers, providing technical direction, and managing report development cycles.

Technical Expertise:

  • Expertise in Power BI Paginated Reports, building print-ready, detailed reports.
  • Experience with automating report creation and data refreshes using Power BI Service, integrating with other tools, or scripting processes for automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI Premium features, performance optimization, and security considerations.
  • Ability to create efficient data models, optimize DAX queries, and streamline report processing with Power Query.

  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and business objectives, ensuring Power BI reports provide actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize reporting solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
