Lead Mechanical Design Expert

As a seasoned mechanical design professional, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative concepts and designs that meet client requirements and industry standards. Your expertise in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge, will enable you to transform ideas into detailed 3D models.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and creating mechanical concepts and designs based on client requirements and technical specifications.
  • Leading the concept design phase, transforming ideas and rough sketches into detailed 3D models using CAD software.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, including stress analysis, material selection, and cost estimation, to ensure designs are viable and meet project goals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, and quality control, to ensure designs are practical and efficiently produced.
  • Generating detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Performing design reviews, assessing potential design risks, and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure designs are cutting-edge and competitive.
  • Providing technical support during the prototype development phase and participating in testing and validation of new designs.
Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-12 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong emphasis on concept design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in performing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation techniques to validate designs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all design work.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex design concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
