Job Description:

Data Scientist (Team Lead)

As a seasoned data scientist, you will lead our team of experts in developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to drive business decisions. Your expertise will be critical in identifying valuable data sources, pre-processing structured and unstructured data, and analyzing large datasets to discover trends and patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and automate data collection processes from various sources.
  • Develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms using R, SQL, and Python.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights using data visualization techniques.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and propose solutions to address business challenges.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts to drive team performance and project success.

Requirements & Skills:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 4+ years of proven experience as a data scientist or data analyst.
  • Must have experience in leading and mentoring teams.
  • Strong expertise in data mining, machine learning, and operations research.
  • Proficiency in R, SQL, and Python; knowledge of Scala, Java, or C++ is a plus.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop).
  • Analytical mindset with solid math skills (statistics, algebra, etc.).
  • Problem-solving aptitude with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
