Job Summary

A skilled CAM Programmer is required to join our CNC Engineering team. The successful candidate will have a passion for precision engineering and CNC machining.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop CAM Programs: Conceptualize and generate programs using NX software, defining cutting tools and strategies for 3D models (50% of time). Collaborate with process engineers to ensure all programs meet high standards.
  • Validate Outputs: Run tool path simulations, generate NC code, and perform virtual simulations (15%). Ensure all outputs meet quality requirements.
  • Process Inputs: Validate 3D models against 2D drawings and assemble part geometry in fixtures (10%). Utilize experience in NX CAD to excel in this role.
  • Support Production: Collaborate with process engineers to implement CAM programs on CNC machines (10%). Work effectively with others to drive success.
  • Quality Control: Analyze QC reports, implement corrective actions, and iterate as needed (10%). Identify areas for improvement through analytical skills.
  • Documentation: Create setup sheets and work instructions for CNC operators (5%). Develop clear and concise documentation through effective communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering (Bachelor's preferred). Value education and encourage continuous learning.
  • Experience: 5 years (Bachelor's) or 8 years (Diploma) in NX CAM. Essential experience to hit the ground running.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), CNC machines, NX CAD, cutting tools, and FANUC Controller (preferred). Proficient in these skills and eager to learn more.
