HyrEzy Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Windows Engineer to join our internal IT team at a leading educational institution. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Windows-based infrastructure, including Azure environments, Active Directory, and email clients.

Job Description:

  • Manage and optimize Windows servers and workstations: Ensure optimal performance and availability of Windows servers and workstations, including configuration and maintenance tasks.
  • Administer and manage Azure environments: Manage and maintain Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and other cloud-based services.
  • Active Directory Management: Administer and manage Active Directory, including user and group management, Group Policy creation and maintenance, and ensuring secure and efficient directory services.
  • Email Client Support: Oversee the management and support of email clients and services (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Office 365), ensuring reliable email communication for faculty, staff, and students.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience as a Windows Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on managing Windows environments, Azure, Active Directory, and email systems, preferably in an educational or similar environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Windows Server, Azure administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, and email clients such as Microsoft Exchange or Office 365.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience managing and optimizing cloud environments, particularly Azure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security configurations.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security best practices for Windows systems and cloud environments, including patch management, access controls, and system hardening.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, or similar are highly desirable.
