Cloud FinOps Analyst

About the Role:

  • This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Cloud FinOps Analyst to join our team.

As a key member of our cloud financial operations team, you will play a critical role in helping us optimize our cloud costs and improve our overall financial efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud financial management, cost optimization practices, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment. They will bring practitioner experience to help shape our product roadmap, validate real-world FinOps use cases, and consult on optimization practices across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on cloud cost management strategies across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Provide insights into common FinOps use cases such as showback/chargeback, forecasting, budget guardrails, anomaly detection, rightsizing, and workload optimization.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to map real-world challenges into product features.
  • Share expertise in cost allocation, tagging strategies, and governance frameworks.
  • Highlight gaps in current market tools and suggest opportunities for differentiation.
  • Guide adoption of FinOps best practices in alignment with the FinOps Foundation principles.

Requirements:

  • 3–6+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Optimization, or Cloud Financial Management.
  • Strong practical expertise in AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, and Budgets.
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner / Advanced Practitioner certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience implementing chargeback/showback models, forecasting, and cloud governance.
  • Solid technical understanding of cloud architecture and usage drivers (compute, storage, networking).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (Finance and Engineering).
