Senior Tax Compliance Specialist

Compliance Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure timely and accurate sales tax compliance for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze client data to identify potential sales tax liabilities.
- Prepare and submit sales tax returns in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding sales tax matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
- Master's degree in accounting beneficial, master's degree in taxation preferred.
- 6+ years of prior experience in sales tax compliance.
- Ability to schedule compliance cycle from retrieval of data to filing and payment and final reconciliation.
- Timely and prompt communication to stakeholders both internal and external.
- Well-versed with state-specific nuances and incorporating them into the process.
Preferred Skills:
- Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Products including Excel, Power Query, Access, Vertex, or other application for SUT.
- Familiarity with Alteryx and database software, preferred.
Notice Handling:
- Taking an active role in knowledge sharing.
- Good command on E-filing, EDI, ACH Debit Credit, and Anybill.
- Prepare bills, assist with collections, and review invoices.
- Understands client financial data and mechanics of state tax returns.
- Independently handle and troubleshoot challenges around the compliance process.
