Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high degree of knowledge, training, and experience in certification and testing. You'll be responsible for providing high-quality certification services that meet clients' needs in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage certification projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety requirements and achieving completion within time frames and cost deadlines.
  • Evaluate products against requirements of national/international standards and precedent decisions.
  • Handle a wide spectrum of projects, including complex ones that generate high revenue levels.
  • Consistently manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining on-time and on-budget performance.
  • Evaluate and qualify companies in the administration of Certification Programs.
  • Review customer test methods and systems; review new/old product designs and all applicable documentation.
  • Ensure all test equipment and quality procedures are within guidelines.
  • Provide technical briefings on new and existing requirements.
  • Authorize application and/or removal of the CSA Mark.
  • Prepare Test Lab Work Orders and Special Testing Documentation.
  • Provide necessary guidance to Lab Technicians.
  • Review test data, reports, and authorize the issuance of Certification Marks.
  • Prepare and/or sign Certification Reports and Certificates of Compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 3 years of job-related experience or Diploma with 5 years of job-related experience in Electrical/Mechanical discipline.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards for North America, IECEx, and ATEX, particularly for Hazardous Locations.
  • Ability to confidently and clearly communicate, explain findings, test results, and technical decisions to others.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills; customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability; detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational, time, and project management skills.
  • Able to work unsupervised, in a team-based work environment.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
  • Technical report writing.
  • Use of various lab equipment, instruments, and tools.
