Senior Java Software Engineer for FX Sales Technology

We are looking for a talented Senior Java Software Engineer to join our FX Sales Technology Squad at Luxoft.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge software solutions that meet the needs of our sales dealers across the globe.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in Java and React, with a strong background in software development, architecture, and operations.

You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including dealers, analysts, and testers, to deliver state-of-the-art bespoke sales desktop platforms.

We foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration, and we encourage our engineers to share their knowledge and expertise through technical design, coding, code review, and presentations.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions using Java and React
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Contribute to the development of technical designs, architectures, and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes
  • Provide ongoing support for platforms as required
  • Create estimates and continuously review demand within individual Squads/teams
  • Create/enhance, understand, and monitor application metrics

Mandatory Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in Java and React
  • Strong background in software development, architecture, and operations
  • Ability to triage and diagnose defects/issues
  • Experience working with operations and architecture groups developing scalable and supportable solutions (desired but not mandatory)
  • Understand customer needs to make sound judgments
  • Pays attention to detail and demonstrates problem-solving capability to develop and deliver quality solutions
  • Understanding of the current state landscape and relevant technologies
  • Has a broad understanding of how to apply New Ways of Working to their role
  • Strong core Java 11+ version
  • React JS
  • CSS
  • Docker/Container technologies
  • Multi/N-threaded programming
  • Domain-driven design, functional programming, and micro-services
  • Shell/Bash scripting
  • Passionate, self-starter with the ability to work on problems from inception to completion
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate within the FX Sales Technology team, the wider FX technology squads, support, and sales stakeholders
  • Strong academic background, preferably in computer science or a hard-science
