Job Description:

This is a senior data engineering role responsible for the detailed design, development, and delivery of pipeline solutions to address business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with experience in big data platforms and be able to lead cross-functional teams.

The key responsibilities of this role include defining solution architecture, developing detailed process designs, and ensuring that solution designs align with the overall data42 architecture. This role also involves facilitating peer reviews, securing sign-off from stakeholders, coordinating team activities, reviewing and merging pull requests, managing product delivery roadmaps, and tracking progress on user stories.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing pipeline releases and migration activities, conducting code reviews, serving as technical SME for the team, leading documentation efforts, and ensuring audit readiness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years IT experience, with 6+ years in Data Engineering on Big Data platforms.
  • Ability to work and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Must have experience managing pipeline development activities with strong project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in working with Git workflow for project execution; a strong understanding of DevOps (CI/CD framework) is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence for technical documentation.
  • Expertise in Python, PySpark, and Spark.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts with hands-on experience.
