Job Title:

Chief IoT Firmware Architect

About the Role

This leadership position involves designing and developing firmware for IoT devices using microcontrollers and RTOS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, networking concepts, and RF protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop firmware solutions for IoT applications using microcontrollers and RTOS.
  • Design knowledge of microcontroller peripherals and drivers, including ADC, DAC, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, RS485, DMA, Ethernet, SD/eMMC, SDIO, and UFS.
  • Implement embedded Linux and device driver concepts.
  • Develop expertise in networking concepts, OSI layers, and common IP protocols.
  • Work with RF protocols such as Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth/BLE, and IoT Cellular.
  • Stay up-to-date with build toolchains and frameworks such as IAR, GCC, Keil, Mplab, Build root, and Yocto.
  • Ensure compliance with software design standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • Proven experience in developing firmware for IoT devices.
  • Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture, peripherals, and drivers.
  • Experience with RTOS, embedded Linux, and inter-process communication.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, OSI layers, and embedded TCP/IP stacks.
  • Skills in working with RF protocols, IoT communication protocols, and build toolchains.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and external vendors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
