Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer

As a senior backend engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable microservices with low-latency architecture to support real-time hotel search and distribution.

  • Build and scale high-performance microservices with efficient design and deployment strategies.
  • Develop custom algorithms and data models to enhance pricing, availability, and inventory workflows.
  • Owning end-to-end modules from conception to rollout, collaborate with product and architect teams.
  • Utilize AI developer tools and LLMs to accelerate development and improve system efficiency.
  • Participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to a CI/CD pipeline for frequent, reliable, and automated deployments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

Required Skills:

  • Strong expertise in MySQL, MongoDB, or ScyllaDB.
  • Distributed systems development using SQS, Kinesis; solid understanding of fault tolerance, backpressure, and scalability.
  • Familiarity with data consistency models, circuit breakers, internal DSLs, and low-latency API design.
  • Proficient with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch; ability to tune systems for high throughput and sub-50ms latencies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first team with a culture of ownership, documentation, and async communication.
  • Passion for clean code, testability, and driving engineering excellence through automation and tooling.
