Job Title: Data Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced technology leader to spearhead the development of cloud-based data solutions. This role involves overseeing project technical direction, mentoring team members, and delivering scalable systems using cloud and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable data processing systems using Java and Apache Spark in the cloud.
  • Architect and implement big data processing pipelines with Apache Spark and cloud-native services.
  • Develop serverless applications and integrate them with cloud services for efficient and maintainable solutions.
  • Use container orchestration tools like Amazon EKS or equivalent to manage microservices-based applications.
  • Design workflow orchestration solutions like Apache Airflow for managing complex data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure smooth integration across services.
  • Mentor development teams on Java best practices, cloud architecture, and data engineering principles.
  • Monitor and optimize solution performance and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on Java experience.
  • Apache Spark proficiency for distributed data processing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services like EMR, Lambda, EKS, Airflow, or their equivalents.
  • Solid understanding of serverless architectures and microservices design.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team mentoring experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
