Job Opportunity: Senior Manager – Taxation

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead and oversee the execution of tax operations for group entities. The role involves managing direct & indirect tax compliance, audits & assessments, litigation management, and ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of taxation laws and accounting standards, with proven experience in financial services and capital market exposure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage payments of TDS, Advance Income Tax & Security Transaction Tax (STT)
  • Verify reports prepared by the team and authorize payments
  • Collate financial data to ensure accuracy and timely statutory compliance
Tax Return Filing & Certification:
  • Validate TDS, Service Tax & STT returns for filing
  • Ensure accuracy of statutory certificates (Form 16A, etc.)
  • Prepare & coordinate STT return filings as per regulations
Audits & Assessments:
  • Prepare income computation reports & liaise with auditors/consultants
  • Address queries from auditors and tax authorities
  • Support scrutiny cases and attend hearings where required
Litigations & Appeals:
  • Coordinate with consultants for appeals at Tribunal/High Court/Supreme Court
  • Approve statutory fees & ensure documentation of cases
Other Activities:
  • Review & validate regulatory submissions
  • Ensure STT applicability on new securities
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Essential: CA / MBA (Finance) with 8–12 years of relevant experience
  • Desired: LLB or additional qualifications in Capital Markets
