About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill a Software Test Engineer position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance, with experience in comprehensive testing strategies, automation development, and collaboration with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
Automation Expertise:
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar.
  • Build and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines.
  • Create automated API tests using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Maintain test automation frameworks and improve test coverage.
Collaboration & Process Improvement:
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective.
  • Contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
Testing Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA processes.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner is a plus.
  • Understanding of database testing and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with mobile testing such as iOS/Android preferred.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing projects.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
