Business Intelligence Analyst

The Amazon Business team is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to support our B2B business.

This role will focus on delivering actionable insights to enable fast, accurate, and impactful decisions across our business teams. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for data analysis and technology who is eager to have a broad impact.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in developing reporting infrastructures and flexible front-end tools. You will conduct in-depth analyses of business growth opportunities and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.

You will work closely with a dedicated team across our global Amazon Business teams, developing innovative products for B2B customers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Often times, the ideal set of data will not be available, and you'll have to think creatively about what is available to drive results.

The ideal candidate will have complete ownership of cross-functional projects, including product definition, roadmap, and resource planning, and project execution.

  • You will work closely with business and operations leadership, including executive leadership at Amazon, to define the technical product and provide updates on the program.
  • You will manage all aspects of BI projects such as project planning, requirements definition, risk management, communication, and implementation planning.
  • You will be a technical problem solver on the team, identifying innovative solutions to project deadlocks and resolving constraints through consensus and sound judgment.
  • You will be responsible for making project decisions, achieving tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus.

About the Team

We are the central analytics team for WW AB Marketing. Our vision is to simplify and accelerate data-driven decision making by providing cost-effective, easy, and timely access to high-quality data.

We are responsible for providing systems (infrastructure) and workflows that allow ingestion, storage, processing, and querying of data. We build ready-to-use datasets for easy and faster access to data. We automate standard business analysis/reporting/dashboarding and empower business with self-service tools for deep dives and insights seeking.

We enhance the speed of business decision-making by reducing the effort and time to access actionable data.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience
  • 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with ETL
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
