Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and serve data for global scale systems.
  • Craft a strong technical strategy and roadmap for evolving our data platform.
  • Lead technical matters and drive appropriate decisions at the technical level.
  • Drive data quality across products and related business areas, working closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Backend Engineers.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to understand data needs and deliver on those needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering.
  • 8-12 years of experience as a server-side developer, with at least 4 years in Big Data processing ecosystem.
  • Extensive knowledge in data modeling with OLAP & Data Warehousing.
  • Proficient in tools and technologies such as Python, Java/Scala, SQL, Hadoop ecosystem, Stream processing, Workflow, and Data Engineering ecosystem.
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Passionate about solving interesting problems for customers and ready to explore new grounds in technology and user experience.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, adaptability to evolving priorities, and ability to lead a team while working autonomously.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge on AWS or any other cloud platform.
