Accounts Receivable Specialist Role

The Accounts Receivable Specialist role involves managing the financial processes related to customer payments, including invoicing, credit management, and cash collection. This position requires a high degree of organizational skill, attention to detail, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Recognition: Establishing a governance process to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Cash Management: Maintaining accurate documentation and information for reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with internal management and investor requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and recording accounting entries and transactions as part of period close activities.
  • Customer Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure timely collections and resolve any queries or issues.
  • Invoicing and Credit Notes: Generating invoices, credit notes, and debit notes on a timely basis in line with contractual terms and GST tax/SEZ rules.
  • Report Preparation: Uploading month-end schedules and other reports, as well as preparing schedules for audits and resolving vendor management and asset management queries.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Education: MBA Finance or Commerce Graduate with expertise in accounting.
  • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable/asset management.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), working knowledge of local Indian financial reporting and tax compliance requirements, maturity to handle confidential information, good communication skills, ability to work with multiple stakeholders, and high degree of ownership.
