Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Audit in establishing audit scope areas based on risk assessments
  • Conduct remote and onsite fieldwork, including interviews and observations, to gather data and evidence
  • Develop and document audit testing plans and procedures, ensuring adherence to audit methodology
  • Update management on audit findings and ensure comprehensive action plans are agreed with relevant stakeholders
  • Proactively track audit issues and provide recommendations for mitigation
  • Collaborate with finance management to develop a solid understanding of business processes, risks, and controls
  • Develop close working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree-level education in accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • Holding or studying for a recognized accounting professional qualification
  • Proven experience in internal audit, preferably in financial services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and on own initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to communicate with all levels of management
