Backend Software Engineer Opportunity

About the Role:

As a seasoned Backend Developer, you will play a crucial part in crafting and refining high-performance backend systems. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the architecture, development, and operations of our mission-critical services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs utilizing Golang, focusing on optimal performance and scalability.
  • Apply expertise in Ruby or Ruby on Rails to drive project success.
  • Participate in service-oriented and microservices architecture evolution, ensuring seamless integration with other teams.
  • Develop clean, efficient, and testable code, prioritizing quality above all else.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and stakeholders, to deliver impactful features.
  • Enhance performance, monitoring, and observability of backend services through data-driven decision-making.
  • Engage in design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Address and resolve production issues efficiently, focusing on reliability and root-cause analysis.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in high-scale backend systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang is required, with Ruby or Ruby on Rails experience being highly beneficial.
  • A solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
  • Proven ability to build and scale distributed systems, APIs, or backend platforms in production environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, agile environments with a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for building high-quality software.
