**Cloud Operations Engineer**: We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Cloud Operations Engineer. This individual will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across multiple platforms.Job DescriptionAs a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and optimize cloud costs, identifying areas where we can improve our spend and implementing cost-saving measures.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze cloud usage patterns and billing reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to optimize resource utilization and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure that cloud resources are properly sized and allocated.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, such as reserved instances and savings plans.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services, including EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring and optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python or Bash.
  • Understanding of SRE concepts, including reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
