Job Title: Electrical System Project Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical System Project Lead to oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems at project sites.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in solar PV systems and a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles applied to renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Solar PV Electrical Works: Oversee all solar PV electrical works on-site, including installation of panels, inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and cable routing.
  • Review Electrical Drawings: Review and interpret solar electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), string configurations, and layout plans.
  • Coordinate with Teams: Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Conduct Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Activities: Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for solar systems, including insulation resistance tests, continuity checks, and inverter testing.
  • Maintain Quality Workmanship: Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's is a plus
  • Experience Requirement: 10 years of experience in solar PV system installation and supervision
  • Knowledge Requirements: Strong knowledge of solar PV system components (inverters, modules, combiner boxes, etc.)

This role requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The willingness to be based on-site in Liberia is also essential.
