Project Oversight Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned project manager to lead our team in the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and with optimal resources.

The Project Oversight Specialist will oversee project phases, manage team dynamics, and facilitate clear communication among stakeholders. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement efficient project management strategies to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and with optimal resources.
  2. Coordinate project resources, manage team performance, and foster collaborative relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
  3. Communicate project progress, risks, and deviations from the business blueprint or statement of work to stakeholders and generate change requests as needed.
  4. Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure that all necessary documentation is complete and standardized.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success, facilitate knowledge transfer, and enhance overall project quality.
  6. Assist in the development of project metrics, including burn rate and cycle time, to ensure projects remain within budget.
  7. Highlight the relative risks and benefits of various options to guide decision-making.
  8. Identify talent, facilitate upskilling, and implement retention strategies to drive team improvement and elevate performance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's or engineering degree with a specialization in data analytics, data science, or statistics; a master's degree (MBA) is preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in project methodology, demonstrating a strong understanding of project management practices within the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC).
  • SAP ERP knowledge: sound knowledge of the SAP ERP system.
  • Master Data Management knowledge: good understanding of Master Data Management domain procedures and practices.
  • Database proficiency: working knowledge of databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Project management certification: relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
  • Collaboration tools: proficiency in using collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams to track project phases and collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and influence stakeholders.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Programming proficiency: solid understanding of one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript) to facilitate technical discussions and solution development.
  • Cloud platform experience: familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for deploying and managing applications.
  • Data visualization skills: experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik) to effectively communicate data insights.
