Software Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role

This position is responsible for ensuring the high quality of software products by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify defects and improve product performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks such as Selenium, Java, Cypress, Appium, etc. to ensure the reliability and stability of software products.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify defects and ensure product quality.

  • Collaborate with integration teams at clients and internal product & engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve software quality.

  • Perform security testing and performance testing to ensure software products meet industry standards and best practices.

  • Manage an API's life cycle, including integration, implementation, and testing, and provide documentation on REST APIs.

  • Recommend improvements in software development processes to enhance user experience and efficiency.

  • Motivate the development process for improved performance and efficiency.

  • Enhance automation frameworks and improve test coverage to ensure high-quality software releases.

  • Ensure that software releases meet all requirements, are fit for purpose, and fit for use.

  • Track and communicate the status of personal deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements in software quality assurance methodologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manual testing in a Software Tester/QC engineer/QA engineer/Quality Analyst profile.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java for test automation.

  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.

  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.

  • Ability to understand integration architecture and provide technical documentation.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Keen interest/experience in improving efficiency in software testing.
