Job Title: Senior Manager, IT Applications

About the Role:

The IT Application Manager oversees the operation of all academic, administrative, and enterprise IT applications at a leading educational institution.

This includes managing various mission-critical applications such as Salesforce CRM & Admissions, Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), Library Management System, Financial ERP, HRMS, and others.

The role involves driving efficiency, integration, security, and innovation in technology solutions that support faculty, staff, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Management & Operations: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications, including deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, performance optimization.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
  • Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison with application vendors and service providers.
  • Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.
  • Strategic Planning & Governance: Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
  • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
  • Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Team Leadership & Vendor Management: Lead and mentor the application support team at campus level.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts/SLAs, and ensure quality service delivery.
  • Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Integration & Data Management: Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.

  • Strong technical knowledge of IT applications and systems.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
