About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced DevOps professional with 3-4 years of experience to help us build and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure in our data-intensive environment. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Data Pipeline Expert, you'll work closely with data engineering teams to streamline CI/CD, automate infrastructure (primarily in AWS), and ensure reliability for services handling large volumes of real-time and batch data.
Key Responsibilities:
- CID & Automation: Implement and manage pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CodePipeline) for continuous integration and delivery of data applications.
- Infrastructure as Code: Provision and manage AWS resources using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy and maintain containerized services (e.g., Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
- Monitoring & Logging: Set up comprehensive observability solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) to track system health, performance, and security.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce best practices for IAM roles, encryption, and network configurations; address compliance requirements (GDPR, PCI if relevant).
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with Data Engineers, QA, and Product teams to optimize deployments, troubleshoot issues, and enhance DevOps workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, ECS/EKS, IAM, etc.) or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CodePipeline) for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
- Strong familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to manage cloud resources.
- Experience containerizing applications using Docker and orchestrators (ECS, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Solid understanding of Linux administration, networking, and scripting (Bash, Python).
- Ability to implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK/EFK, or Prometheus/Grafana).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred/Bonus Skills:
- Exposure to data pipeline or big data ecosystems (Kafka/MSK, Spark/EMR, NiFi, Airflow/MWAA).
- Knowledge of serverless frameworks (Lambda, Step Functions) for event-driven workloads.
- Experience with GitOps practices (Argo CD, Flux) or advanced Kubernetes configurations.
- Background in security audits and compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with secret management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
