Backend Engineer Role

You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to design, develop, and maintain core backend systems that power applications. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and developing backend services using Fastify and Express frameworks
  2. Implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes
  3. Containerizing and orchestrating services with Docker and Kubernetes
  4. Deploying and maintaining infrastructure on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
  5. Conducting load and performance testing for system reliability under scale

To excel in this role, you'll require strong experience with Typescript, Fastify, and Express. Additional skills include working with monorepo setups, Docker, and Kubernetes in production environments. Cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP services, as well as knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and ORMs like Drizzle or Prisma, are also essential. Additionally, familiarity with API testing tools and DevOps practices will be beneficial.
