Data Governance Specialist

About the Role The Data Governance Specialist will play a vital role in safeguarding sensitive business and customer data across multiple platforms. This involves designing and implementing policies that ensure fine-grained access controls, integrating access control solutions with various systems, and supporting region- and country-specific access rules to ensure compliance with data protection requirements.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to refine access policies, ensuring alignment with governance standards and regulatory frameworks. They will also work in Agile delivery environments using tools such as JIRA Cloud and Align for project tracking and planning. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and configure authorization policies to enforce fine-grained data access controls.
  • Integrate access control solutions with CRM platforms, cloud data warehouses, APIs, reporting tools, and AI/ML models.
  • Support the rollout of region- and country-specific access rules, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Collaborate with data, engineering, and business stakeholders to refine access policies and ensure alignment with governance standards.
  • Ensure data access governance supports privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
  • Proven experience with authorization platforms (e.g., PlainID or other policy-based access control solutions).
  • Strong background in data governance, access management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
  • Understanding of enterprise integrations (APIs, applications, notification systems, and reporting pipelines).
  • Experience working in Agile teams with JIRA Cloud and Align for project tracking and planning.
