As a member of our development team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining complex data pipelines. This includes ingesting and processing raw satellite data from various sources and storing the results in a cloud-based data lake.

The successful candidate will have expertise in Python-based backend development and Amazon Web Services (AWS). They will be expected to design and implement an automated machine learning lifecycle framework, including training, validation, and versioning of models for satellite image classification and thermal risk prediction.

We are looking for a talented developer who can build a low-latency REST API using AWS Lambda and API Gateway to serve real-time predictions from AI models. Additionally, they will be responsible for implementing core features of an interactive dashboard using React and Mapbox GL JS, focusing on intuitive visualisation of geospatial heatmap data.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience
  • Deep expertise in either Python-based backend development or React-based frontend development
  • In-depth experience designing, building, and deploying services on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Strong understanding of REST principles and proven experience in designing and building APIs from scratch
  • Proficiency in containerising applications using Docker
