As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend systems that support maritime operations platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create software architecture that is efficient and maintainable.
  • Take ownership of product lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices including unit tests to ensure high-quality code.
  • Develop reusable modular code to promote efficiency across projects.
  • Optimize applications for performance speed and scalability.
  • Enforce security best practices to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Maintain technical documentation for all systems and processes related to products.
Required Skills
  • Strong foundation in Python programming including debugging and performance analysis.
  • Experience in developing web applications and APIs using frameworks like Django or Flask.
  • Expertise in secure software development and handling sensitive data.
  • Well-established experience in system design implementation testing deployment and maintenance of enterprise-wide application systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of source code repository management with Git.
  • Hands-on experience in database design and architecture focusing on performance.
  • Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache or Redis.
  • Experience working with web/app servers like Apache or Nginx.
  • Containerization skills with Docker.
  • Enterprise-level deployment and scaling experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
Favorable Skills
  • Experience in Angular Node JS will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript Bootstrap Ajax.
