Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced eDiscovery Project Manager to join our Client Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client communication, coordinating with other team members, and overseeing the intake, processing, and export of client data within Nuix and Relativity platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients and law firms to address questions, clarify matters, and escalate issues related to eDiscovery.
  • Manage a team of up to 5 members, including associates and senior associates.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services, Application Support, and other teams to perform client-related tasks.
  • Coach and participate in eDiscovery and data management activities, including filing requests for data intakes, processing, filtering, and hosting support.
  • Consult with clients on data-related challenges, delivering a plan of tasks to be performed with accurate timelines.
  • Follow up with internal teams to ensure SLAs are met, prioritizing tasks based on multiple client requirements.
  • Handle multiple engagements and clients simultaneously, adapting to new matters added for the same or different clients.
  • Work closely with managers and above to build KPIs for the team, analyzing data for better operational efficiencies.
  • Reach out to technical teams for issues affecting review, document searching, or other platform-related problems.
  • Develop training plans for new hires, assisting with initial setup and providing insights.
  • Communicate delays to clients, providing a precise timeline for the next delivery schedule.
  • Administer Relativity-based hosted matters, including direct client support from review to production.
  • Maintain open communication with internal teams and external clients, tracking project risks, scope changes, and requirements changes.
  • Re-validate billable and non-billable entries at the end of the week and month, reporting anomalies to Associate Managers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications in database and data handling are preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5-8 years of experience in eDiscovery Client Services/Project Management or litigation/practice support within a law firm.
  • Managed a team of up to 2-5 members in the past.
  • Expert understanding of structured and unstructured data, metadata, storage, and retrieval, databases.
  • Extensive client management and project management experience working with legal industry professionals.
  • Team leadership skills, effectively interacting and leading cross-functionally with individuals of different competencies and backgrounds.
  • Self-propelled, with a strong desire to learn new skills and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain challenges faced during data handling.
  • Ability to engage across a range of backgrounds and levels of seniority, translating technical terms into non-technical language.
  • Involved in interviewing processes for new hires, providing detailed technical feedback.
  • Work flexible hours or rotational shifts to support the demands of our eDiscovery business.
  • Adhere to strict data security policies and procedures, ensuring data security at all times.
Preferred Skills
  • End-to-end understanding of the eDiscovery process, from collections to productions.
  • Significant experience utilizing eDiscovery technology and platforms, such as Relativity, Nuix, Brainspace, Concordance, Ringtail, and Service Now.
  • Good understanding of billable and non-billable client tasks.
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or any Relativity or eDiscovery certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with computer forensic tools, such as Encase, Forensic Tool Kit, MacQuisition, and Cellebrite, is a good to have.
  • Ability to understand proprietary software related to data processing, hosting, and timekeeping.
  • Develop or possess strong organizational skills and an extreme attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Windows and related software, such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
