Accounting Activities:

  • Day-to-day accounting work: vouching, filing, etc.
  • Maintenance of books of accounts in Tally related to revenue and investigating variances
  • Addressing discrepancies, analysing revenue trends and variances
  • Developing revenue budgets and updating revenue forecasts
  • Overseeing accounts receivable processes
  • Maintaining customer accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Preparing and reviewing aging reports
  • Monitoring aging reports and following up on outstanding invoices
  • Coordinating with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate records of transactions, credits, and adjustments in the accounting system
  • Implementing revenue recognition policies in compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Keeping track of sale invoices in Tally & Excel
  • Handling interactions with external service providers like vendors, bankers, auditors, etc.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for key clients
  • Managing inter-company transactions and ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation
  • Working closely with other teams to ensure inter-company balances are accurately recorded and settled
  • Ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies and inter-company agreements
  • Facilitating monthly, quarterly, and annual inter-company reconciliations and settlements
  • Developing and implementing best practices for inter-company transaction processes
  • Following internally defined guidelines/procedures and suggesting improvements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Commerce graduate
  • 3+ years of practical accounting experience (preferably in a service industry)

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in target-oriented environments and under pressure
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Tally ERP; Zoho books is an advantage
