Job Title: Procurement Engineer

At Siemens Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing procurement processes within our factory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for factory procurement in alignment with business requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulations and compliance standards set by Supply Chain Management (SCM) governance.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional development within the procurement team.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and geopolitical factors.
  • Enhance collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve desired productivity and operational outcomes.
  • Implement eSourcing tools such as eRFQ, eBidding, and eAuction to streamline procurement processes.
  • Develop zero-based costing and formulate short-term and long-term strategies for different commodities to optimize costs.
  • Support Supplier Capacity Mapping, Supplier Risk Assessments, Audits, and Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives at suppliers with a focus on reducing the carbon footprint.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Supply Chain Management software, MS Office, and analytical tools.
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience, including 7 years in leadership roles managing substantial purchasing volumes.
  • Strong understanding of Procurement KPIs such as Contribution to Net Income, Payment term Equivalent, and eSourcing events.
  • In-depth knowledge of various manufacturing processes, supplier databases, pricing structures, and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a history of managing supplier relationships using both collaborative and confrontational approaches.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization structure.
